Kevin-Prince Boateng had around £350,000 worth of possessions stolen from his house while he was playing for Barcelona against Valladolid.
Midfielder Boateng appeared to be targeted by burglars, as the thieves knew he would be away from his property at the time.
Police are investigating the break-in and have estimated between £250,000 and £350,000 of goods have been lifted.
Marca reported that thieves stole jewelry, watches and cash during the raid of the empty house.
The Ghanaian joined the Catalan giants in January on a loan until the end of the season from Italian side Sassuolo.
Boateng isn’t the first Barca player to have been robbed while he was on the pitch this season.
Defender Jordi Alba had his building in the city broken into while he was playing in Barca’s Champions League fixture with Inter Milan in November.
On that occasion, it was not reported the value of the stolen items but members of Alba’s family were in the house at the time.
