Arsenal missed out on the impressive N’Golo Kante when he joined Leicester and then Chelsea last summer, but despite also losing Wilfred Ndidi to the Foxes an interest has been retained.
The Daily Mirror has claimed Arsenal interest in “the new Kante” will be shown at the end of the season with Leicester fearful they could lose Ndidi.
With the help of Ndidi, Leicester, following a fourth win in a row against Stoke on Saturday in a game the midfielder also scored, have climbed away from relegation danger and are now pushing for a top 10 finish – they are the only English representative in the Champions League too, so have that to play for.
Ndidi “snubbed the Gunners’ advances” when signing for Leicester from Genk but will he do it again if Arsenal interest is revived?
The Mirror reported Manchester United, Southampton and German club Hamburg are keen on “whipping their cheque books out” for the Nigerian midfielder.
