Army to hold four-day seminar on management of asymmetric security

The Nigerian Army will from Monday hold a four-day international seminar on the management of asymmetric security challenges at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory.
The theme of the Seminar is: “Managing Asymmetric Security Challenges in the 21st Century.”
The participants are drawn from the Armed Forces of Nigeria and Security Agencies and 16 friendly nations.
Out of a total of 150 participants, 56 are from the Armed Forces of 16 friendly countries, while 94 are from Armed Forces of Nigeria, Nigeria Police and other Security Agencies.
According to a statement by the spokesman of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman, on Sunday, the objectives of the seminar include building capacity towards a better understanding and managing of asymmetric security challenges amongst the participants; draw lessons from the challenges and peculiarities common to all participating countries in the management of asymmetric security challenges; share knowledge on global asymmetric security challenges; create better understanding of cultural diversity amongst the participants; strengthen relationships and encourage interaction amongst the participants.
