For the second time, another delegate but this time a male delegate slumped on Tuesday at the ongoing national conference in Abuja.
He is Abudlmumin Abubakar, a former Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) and Commissioner of Police in Borno State.
He was grating interview to newsmen as he emerged from the auditorium after the day’s plenary when he suddenly collapsed.
However, disaster was averted as he was promptly attended to by medical personnel.
When the medical officials sensed danger, the retired AIG was immediately way in a police ambulance for proper medical attention at an undisclosed hospital.
“I don’t think its serous because, as you can see, he was just coming from the secretariat after the plenary before you journalist grabbed him.
“He is an elderly man, it’s nothing serious,” one of the medical personnel who attended to him said.
While contributing to debate at plenary earlier, Abubakar, said extra-ordinary steps must be taken to arrest security situation in his state, Borno.
The Eagle Online recalls that one of the delegates, Mamman Misau died recently while a female delegate also collapsed after lunch.
