Senator and former Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Chris Ngige, has emerged as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the November 16, 2013 governorship election in his state.
The Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, disclosed this on Wednesday.
Okorocha hinted that the emergence of Ngige was by consensus.
He said this was achieved after a crisis that almost tore the party apart over the choice of a candidate for the election.
Ngige’s main rival, Senator Annie Okonkwo, is to lead the governorship campaign.
Okorocha said: “The choice of Ngige was reached through a consensus.
“Those who thought we shall not succeed today have been disappointed.”
