Angry youths in Ido/Usi Ekiti axis of Ekiti State poured out to the roads on Wednesday, blocking all entrances into Ido town.
The youths, chanting war songs, expressed disappointment that the Governor, Ayo Fayose, was yet to find a lasting solution to the issue of kidnapping in the state.
It will be recalled that 11 people, including a nurse working at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido, Margaret Aladejanika, were rescued from kidnappers’ den about two weeks ago by local hunters in Esure forest.
Some leaders of the town had to intervene before the youths could remove the barricade.
The blockade disturbed free flow of traffic on the federal highway that passed through the town.
One of the protesters, who simply identified himself as Kol,a said they were disappointed that the government had not found lasting solution to kidnapping in the state.
