Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party on Friday led a massive protest to the Headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Among the leaders of the protest were the President of the Senate and Leader of the party, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki; the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal; former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido; and the National Chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus.
They were protesting the outcome of the Osun State governorship election won by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Gboyega Oyetola.
The PDP leaders want INEC to declare the party’s candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, as the duly elected governor of the state.
They also demanded for impartiality on the part of INEC in subsequent elections.
The protest started from the headquarters of the PDP at Legacy House in Abuja.
The leaders then addressed the crown at the entrance of the INEC office.
