The Independent National Electoral Commission at the state level has announced the results from eight more local governments in the Osun State governorship election held on Saturday.
This brings to 15 the number of local government results declared at the headquarters of INEC in Osun State, located in Osogbo, the state capital.
The newly-announced eight local government results were split between the Peoples Democratic Party and All Progressives Congress.
While the PDP’s candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, won in Oriade, Ilesa West, Irepodun and Isokan Local Government Areas, Gboyega Oyetola of the APC won in Boripe, Ila, Ayedaade and Odo Otin.
In the earlier results declared by INEC, PDP won five out of the seven local government areas, while the APC took two.
The state has 30 local government areas.
