Arsenal sensation, Chuba Akpom, showed off his outrageous ability with a backheel nutmeg trick while on duty for England’s Under-20s.
During the 2-1 defeat to Mexico on Wednesday evening, Akpom mesmerised his defenders – and all the watching spectators – when he beat a Mexico defender as he was seemingly trapped with nowhere to go.
Akpom appeared to roll the ball across his body, before back-heeling it past the opponent. The 19-year-old then completed a full turn around the body of the defender, leaving him left for dead.
To put the icing on the cake, Akpom’s trick was in fact a nutmeg.
Akpom has made nine first team appearances for Arsenal so far, but with skills like these, Arsene Wenger will likely be taking note.
