He was said to have completed the statement he started writing on Friday.
Akpabio had on Friday arrived at the EFCC office at about 5:30pm and left at about 9pm.
He was grilled in connection with an allegation of stealing N108.1 billion from the coffers of the Akwa Ibom State Government.
The allegation was levelled against Akpabio, who is now the representative of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, by a lawyer, Leo Ekpenyong.
