The Kwara State Governor, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed, says retired armed forces officers should play greater role in nation building and efforts to overcome prevailing security challenges in the country.
Governor Ahmed, who said this when the leadership of Retired Army, Navy and Airforce Officers paid him a courtesy visit, noted that the nation could still tap from the wealth of experience of the retired officers.
He urged the leadership and members of RANAO to come up with strategies on how the country could overcome prevailing security challenges.
“As senior citizens with very rich wealth of experience in military tactics and strategies, members of RANAO have important roles to play in driving good governance in the country,” the governor noted.
The Chairman of RANAO in Kwara State, Captain Ibrahim Ahmed, in his speech, said his members were ready to be major players in ensuring security of life and property in the state.
