The General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Wednesday urged Nigerians to create time to pray regularly for Nigeria’s economic development.
Adeboye made the appeal in Lagos at a news conference to announce a special prayer session for chief executive officers of organisations.
Adeboye was represented by Pastor Goke Aniyeloye, an Assistant Pastor in charge of Social Duties in RCCG.
He said that development of Nigeria’s economy would boost businesses, expand organisations, increase employment opportunities and reduce vices.
He said: “Organisations are folding up and unemployment is in the increase in our country; it is contributing to the high rate of poverty.
“It is God’s desire that we all prosper in wealth and in good health because it is uppermost in His mind that we be fruitful and multiply.
“Therefore, we need His divine assistance to help us to succeed in our businesses, professions and vocations to improve ourselves and the society.”
The cleric said that the prayer session would hold on June 2 at the RCCG Headquarters, Ebute Meta, Lagos State.
He hoped that the prayer would result in business expansion and other blessings for Nigerians.
Adeboye said that prayer was a major way to achieve breakthroughs.
