An online influencer, Suraj Oyewale, popularly known as #SirJarus, has been reported by the Lagos State Government to the Lagos State Police Command for investigation over alleged domestic violence.
He had in a series of posts on his X handle, which he has now made private, issued some messages termed threatening.
This led the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency to report him to the police over the messages addressed at his wife, Oyewale Ayoola.
The Head of Public Affairs Unit of the DSVA, Adejoke Ladenegan-Oginni, confirmed this development.
Ladenegan-Oginni said in a statement: “Our attention has been drawn to a tweet made by @SirJarus.
“As the Statutory Agency in Lagos State dedicated to preventing and responding to domestic and sexual violence, we take this very seriously.
“Domestic violence in any form is unacceptable, and the Lagos State Government maintains a zero-tolerance stance against it.
