Lagos airport to experience power interruption

The Murtala Mohammed Airport will witness intermittent power interruptions between Tuesday and Friday.
A statement on Monday by the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, said the interruption would be caused by the testing of a new power project.
The statement reads: “A test-run of the MMA new power project is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, July 30 at  8.00 hrs.
“The exercise, expected to commence at the “D” wing of the International Terminal at 08.00hrs on Tuesday will be subsequently carried out at the domestic Terminal on Wednesday and other areas of the airport on Thursday and Friday.
“During the course of the test-run, the affected areas would experience intermittent power supply.
“In all, a total of 7 nos. 4,850 KVA stand-by generators would be tested.
“FAAN regrets any inconvenience that may be experienced by passengers and other airport users as a result of this experience which is aimed at improving power supply in the airport.”
