NSCDC decorates 91 newly promoted officers in Kano

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps on Tuesday in Kano decorated 91 officers who were recently promoted with their new ranks.
Speaking at the occasion, the state Commandant, Aliyu Yusha’u, charged the newly promoted officers to exhibit high sense of responsibility and commitment to move the Command forward.
He also called on the officers who were elevated to consider their promotion as an added responsibility.
He also urged the officers to be dedicated to their duty and consider themselves to be one of the luckiest among the 3, 983 officers promoted across the 36 Commands in the country.
Earlier in his remarks, the Zonal Commander in charge of Zone B, Nnamdi New, appreciated the synergy existing between the state command of the NSCDC and other sister security agencies in the state.
He, however, called on the promoted officers to justify the promotion by being committed and loyal to their superior officers at all times.
New said: “You need to tighten your belt and lead by example for others to emulate you as you face the challenges ahead.
Also speaking, the Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, pledged his administration’s full support to the agency to enable it discharge its responsibilities effectively.
Ganduje, who was represented by the Director-General, Special Services, retired Col. Umar Malami, said the state government would continue to support the agency to curb the security challenges.
He urged the promoted officers to continue to work toward the upliftment of the agency.
