Alex Iwobi has taken to social media to reveal that he really is Arsenal through and through.
The midfielder has been one of the north London side’s most promising young players in recent seasons and broke into the first team under Arsene Wenger last term.
The 20-year-old Nigeria international joined Arsenal while he was still at primary school and has come through the north London club’s youth system.
And for fans who were doubting the midfielder’s commitment to the north London club, Iwobi used his personal Instagram account to share a picture of a much young version of himself wearing an Arsenal kit.
Iwobi posted a picture on Instagram before Arsenal’s clash with Chelsea on Saturday at The Emirates and simply wrote: “Throwback.”
Arsenal are now preparing for a return to Champions League action and their home clash against FC Basel on Wednesday night.
The Gunners are set to take on Reading in the fourth round of the League Cup next month.
