A former Head of State and presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change in the 2011 election, Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari, has rejected his nomination by dreaded sect, Boko Haram, to lead the group’s peace talks with the Federal Government.
Buhari, who spoke on Wednesday in Abuja at the CPC’s Board of Trustees meeting, said he was not willing to negotiate on behalf of a faceless group.
He equally said he does not believe in the cause of Boko Haram and thus could not represent the group’s interest.
He promised to continue working together with other opposition political parties to ensure the defeat of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2015 general election.
