Rangers FC’s management says it has directed its technical crew to start shopping for top strikers’ to enhance the goal-scoring ability of the club.
Foster Chime, the club’s Media Director, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Enugu on Sunday that the management was desirous of engaging top strikers who could improve the club’s goal-scoring ability.
The club has currently been topping on the log of the Nigerian Professional Football League season 2015/2016.
Chime said: “The management appeals for continued support of the fans as well for their patience and understanding in the remaining matches in the league.
“The technical crew has been mandated to beef up the squad with additional quality player – the tested and experienced players – through the current mid-season transfer window.
“The technical crew has also been directed to submit detailed technical report on the first round of the league.
“The report should include the performance index of every player to ascertain those that have met the standard and those yet to meet the standards.
“This will to determine improvements.”
The media director, however, said the management was satisfied at the team’s performance in the first stanza.
Chime said: “We have maintained our resilience and determination to secure the maximum three points and goals in every match we played.
“The club will do everything within its powers to maintain the enviable position on the table, until the last match in the second stanza.”
