The All Progressives Congress in Adamawa State has boasted that there is no strong opposition party in the state to challenge it in the 2019 general elections.
Alhaji Ahmed Lawal, the Organising Secretary of the party, made the disclosure on Monday while speaking to newsmen in Yola.
Lawal said Governor Mohammed Bindow has galvanized governance, attracting strong members of the opposition parties in the state to the ruling party.
The organising secretary commended the congress committee for conducting free and fair ward congresses in the state.
He urged those members who felt aggrieved due to the conduct of the ward congress to seek redress from the appeal panel.
Lawal said the current state executive members of the party did not receive any complain arising from the exercise.
He explained that his refusal to sell nomination forms to some people was in line with the guidelines stipulated for the conduct of congresses.
Lawal said some members did bulk purchase, which was against the guidelines of the party.
He however, said disagreements were part of politics, noting that the party was still “one big indivisible party” in the state in particular and for the nation at large.
The party had its ward congresses on May 6.
