Thirty seven out of the 40 candidates of the All Progressives Congress for elective seats in the 2019 general elections in Ogun State have emerged.
The list emerged after a two-day exercise, which first produced 23 out of the 26 candidates for the state House of Assembly seats on Monday.
They included the three senatorial candidates and three outstanding for the House of Assembly seats.
The Ogun State Governor, IbikunleAmosun, at the Presidential Lodge, Ibara, Abeokuta, said: “It is this list that we have generated in the presence of everybody here that stands and not any list that they are peddling on social media.”
Amosun emphasised that the party in the state has resolved to pick all its candidates through consensus, adding that anybody who is still not satisfied can proceed for direct primaries.
He asked all the candidates and their supporters to go back to their constituencies and prepare for the campaigns.
