Contrary to expectations, Nigeria did not draw any major football power in the draws for the 2013 African Cup of Nations apart from the defending champions, Zambia.
The draws, held in Durban, South Africa, on Wednesday, saw the emergence of Nigeria in Group C alongside Zambia, Burkina Faso and Ethiopia.
Apart from Zambia, the other two teams are not great names in African football.
Despite the unpredictability of football, it is not expected that Burkina Faso and Ethiopia will pose any threat to the qualification of Nigeria and Zambia for the quarter-final from the group.
Host, South Africa, is in Group A and will slug it out for a quarter-final ticket with Morocco, Cape Verde Island and Angola.
