Lawan made this appeal while receiving in audience in his office a delegation from NIPSS led by its newly appointed Director General, Professor Ayo Omotayo.

The passage of the bill Wedneasdy followed the consideration of a report by the Joint Committees on Anti-Corruption and Financial Crimes; and Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions.
The Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, made the call following a point of order raised by the Deputy Whip, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi representing Niger North District.
The passage of the bill followed the consideration of a motion for re-commital of the National Development Fund (Establishment) Bill, 2022.
Three senators: Adamu Abdullahi, Sani Musa and Tanko Al-Makura, are seeking the APC’s national chairman’s seat.
Lawan’s message is contained in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ola Awoniyi, Monday in Abuja.
Lawan was confident that his party, the APC, will be victorious in the general elections scheduled for February next year.
The approval followed the presentation and consideration of a report on a bill to establish the institute by the Senate Committee on ICT and Cyber Security.
