Juventus have completed a deal to sign Atletico Madrid striker, Mario Mandzukic, after the Croatian successfully passed a medical with the Serie A champions.
Mandzukic has agreed a four-year contract with the club, according to Sky Italia, and Juventus have agreed to pay Atletico a fee of £13.6 million over the next three years, which could rise to £15 million if certain performance incentives are reached.
The 29-year-old joined Atletico last summer from Bayern Munich and scored 20 goals in 43 games for the Spanish side.
Mandzukic becomes the club’s second high-profile attacking addition of the summer after the club signed Argentine striker, Paulo Dybala, from Palermo.
Juventus won the domestic double – Serie A and Coppa Italia – for the first time since 1995 under first-year coach Massimiliano Allegri last season and also reached the Champions League final before losing 3-1 to Barcelona.
Mandzukic was signed by Atletico from Bayern Munich to replace Chelsea’s Diego Costa but struggled to adapt to Diego Simeone’s system.
