Fenerbahce hot shot, Emmanuel Emenike, has suggested that countries that do not have good pitches and proper facilities to host qualifiers should be exempted by the continental ruling body, the Confederation of African Football.
The striker, who blamed the Khartoum International Stadium pitch for the three-time African Champions loss to their Sudanese counterparts, said they would have done better if the turf is world class.
Emenike said: “Where we played on Saturday is worse than when we were playing street football.
“CAF must act to stop nonsense like this from happening.
“And they deliberately took us there because they know we play on better pitches.”
The Eagles hope to wrestle all three points when they meet the Sudanese in the reverse fixture in Abuja on Wednesday.
