Why FRSC relocated training school from Jos to Enugu – Chidoka

Facts emerged on Wednesday why the Federal Road Safety Commission relocated its training school in Jos, Pleateu State to Enugu in Enugu State.
The FRSC said top on the list was that the North already had one training school, which is in Adamawa State.
And since the plan is to have one training school in the North and the South, it became imperative to relocate the one in Jos.
The FRSC boss, Osita Chidoka, who appeared before Senate for screening as a minister, explained that the second training school, which is now Enugu, had been in the proposal of commission when the idea was initiated.
Chidoka, however, said due to the inability of the government of the state to make provision for the training school, the commission located it for a start in Jos.
He said when eventually the Governor of Enugu State, Sullivan Chime, made provision for 200 hectares of land for the training school, the commission had no other option than to relocate it to Enugu, which was the original plan.
Speaking on the state of Nigerian roads, Chidoka said the money budgeted for construction of roads is too small compared to why should obtain.
