A security firm, Infinity Security Services Limited, has dismissed reports linking the firm to the reported reckless shooting in Lagos by policemen attached to a popular Nigerian musician, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, on July 5.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Moshood Jimoh, had told newsmen that the policemen, who shot sporadically into the air after receiving Adeleke at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, were of the 20 Police Mobile Squadron on attachment to Infinity Security Services Limited.
But the management of the company denied having the policemen attached to it.
“Though we offer similar services, we have no security contract with the said musician and are not in anyway connected with the incident,” said the firm’s Managing Director, Tajudeen Aderemi, in a statement on Monday.
Aderemi noted that his firm however maintains a cordial working relationship with the police and all other government security agencies, while its operatives exhibit best practices in compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
