The Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Friday said the State is fully ready to host the second edition of the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon billed to hold on February 11, 2017 from 7am.
Governor Ambode, during an interview with Super Sports at the Lagos House, Ikeja, said adequate preparations have been put in place to ensure a successful event.
According to him, the State Government and other supporting partners have spent the last two months perfecting logistics so as to make the marathon bigger and better than the previous edition.
He said that road diversions for the marathoners as well as for motorists have been announced, while the State’s traffic management agencies will be on ground to ensure minimal traffic congestion.
