Former Super Eagles midfielder, Ejike Uzoenyi, is currently undergoing trials at South African side, Ajax Cape Town.
The former Enugu Rangers star alongside other seven players are sweating it out as the club seeks to strengthen their attacking department ahead of the new 2017/18 campaign.
The other players that are being assessed are Jairo Da Silva, Coldrin Coetzee, Khulekani Madondo, Mango Dombo, Yusuf Jappie, Sifiso Mfundo and Nakouho Kingu.
Another Nigerian striker, Michael John Odoh is also on trial at the club.
The 19-year-old currently plies his trade for Nigerian side, Almar FC, and wants to take the next step of his professional football career, as he looks to impress the Cape Town-based outfit enough to land a professional contract in Mzansi’s top flight.
Ajax recently parted ways with the likes of Mark Mayambela and Nathan Paulse and Head Coach Menzo will be eager to fill the gaps after already acquiring the signing of last season’s NFD top goalscorer, Sedwyn George.
Now, it remains to be seen whether the Nigerian will impress the Ajax technical team and land a professional contract at the club in the coming weeks.
