Useni promises to end insecurity if elected Plateau governor

Senator Jeremiah Useni, the PDP governorship candidate in Plateau, has promised to end insecurity in the state if elected on March 2.
Useni, who spoke at the party’s zonal rally on Monday in Jos, promised that his government would put in place modalities that would end the lingering farmer-herder clashes in the state.
He said: “I will initiate frank discussions to build mutual trust between the warring groups. We will ensure that the farmers can go to their farms without fear of being killed, while the herders will carry our their activities unperturbed.
“Ìf we can restore the peace, we will have enough food to eat locally and even export. The lingering violence has cost so much and should not be allowed to continue.”
The candidate, who promised to serve the state with the whole of his strength, assured Plateau residents that he would run an all-inclusive government.
Useni said: “Nobody will be neglected; we shall run an all-inclusive government where very body will be involved.”
In his remarks, Sen Jonah Jang promised that Plateau would give Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential candidate, “at least two million votes in the forthcoming general elections”.
Jang, the immediate past governor of Plateau, accused the APC-led government of taking the nation backward through its bad policies, adding that PDP would reclaim leadership in Plateau and Nigeria.
In his address, Chief Damishi Sango, chairman of the party in the state, urged PDP supporters to vote and protect their votes on election days.
