The Post-graduate School of the University of Ilorin says it has set in motion additional mechanisms to check the delay faced by some students in completing their programmes.
The Dean of the school, Prof. Badmas Yusuf, disclosed this on Monday while speaking with newsmen in Ilorin.
Yusuf said the university had introduced a prototype design and attendance register for PhD students.
The measure, he said, was designed to ensure that programmes were well planned and progress could be monitored.
Yusuf, however, said that inspite of the measures, the postgraduate school discovered that a number of students do not graduate as scheduled.
He noted that this had prompted the school to introduce a questionnaire designed to monitor the progress of students undergoing post-graduate programmes.
According to Yusuf, this would enable the university to ascertain the challenges students might be facing in the course of their programmes.
The questionnaire is available for collection at the school.
