Some chieftains of the Peoples democratic Party in Anambra State, who were summoned to appear before the party’s National Working Committee on Wednesday failed to do so.
Those summoned but who failed to appear included Senator Andy Ubah, Chief Chris Ubah, Ejike Oguebego and Chief Benji Udeozor.
The party chieftains were summoned for their involvement in the parallel Anambra governorship primaries held on August 24.
They were to appear for preliminary hearing at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.
The party`s Acting National Publicity Secretary, Tony Okeke, had in a statement, alleged that the members decision to partake in a parallel primaries breached the party’s constitution.
