The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, was among the leaders of the party absent at the National Executive Committee meeting of the party held in Abuja on Friday.
It was the first NEC meeting held by the party after the emergence of Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari as the president of the country.
Also absent at the meeting was the former Interim National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande.
Another top chieftain of the party and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, had in a statement on Thursday said he would be absent at the meeting because he was observing the lesser hajj.
