Dr Umaru Habila, an Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon, has warned against patronage of traditional bone setters relating to fracture management, saying they constitute more problems than blessings to the patients and orthopaedic practice.

He said it had become worrisome that the TBS now use canvassers stationed at orthodox hospitals, who devise derogatory names for some hospitals such as “centres of amputation”
