Adedoyin-Adeyinka said the event which kicks off on November 8 needs to consider the disparate development level in Africa when discussing how best the continent and its global partners should approach the desirable goal of energy transition. “We need to have realistic goals and milestones that will ultimately enhance energy transition in Africa in a manner that leaves no one behind. Temitope Shonubi, Executive Director, Sahara Group disclosed this at the African Refiners and Distribution Association (ARDA) conference 2021 in South Africa where he spoke on the role of LPG in Africa’s energy transition.

“I am particularly enthused (sic) that you provide about 21 per cent of power to Nigerians and distribute 15 per cent, and going forward, Sahara Group has a vision to investing in gas development for energy, data tech and monetization, infrastructural development and in bringing energy to life in a responsible and smart way wherever energy is consumed,” the president wrote in a letter addressed to Sahara Group, dated August 26, 2021.
Speaking at the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) International Conference and Exhibition, Menkiti said the nation has to establish a progressive strategy that guides the mining of hydrocarbons more responsibly.
