In a statement on Friday, Atiku extended his condolences to Adebanjo’s family, the Afenifere organisation and the entire people and government of Ogun State.

Afenifere’s Secretary-General, Chief Sola Ebiseni, made this known in a statement formally announcing the passing of the revered Yoruba leader.

Adams, in a statement he signed personally, said the death of Pa Adebanjo has created a big vacuum in the Yoruba socio-political space.

The governor, who spoke shortly after the meeting held at the Otunba Subomi Balogun Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, declared that some frontline leaders in Afenifere had decided to resolve the differences between the two leaders of the group, Pa Reuben Fasoranti and Pa Ayo Adebanjo.
