The position of the aggrieved community was made known via a statement issued to the media at the end of an emergency meeting of the leaders.

The panel convened on Wednesday at the Governor’s Office Annexe in Warri South Local Government Area of the state.

On March 14, 2024, 17 military personnel comprising a Lieutenant Colonel, two Majors, one Captain and 13 Soldiers were killed while on a peacekeeping mission in the Okuama community of Delta State.

How the Officers and Soldiers were ambushed and murdered like chickens is still a mystery to me. Were they unarmed?
