The Nigeria Referees Association has pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari to wade into the leadership crisis in the Nigeria Football Federation to avert FIFA’s impending ban.

The General-Secretary of the NRA, Moroof Oluwa, made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja on Monday.
The association’s Secretary, Moroof Oluwa, told the News agency of Nigeria on Friday in Abuja that this would enhance their performance and chances of excelling at the FIFA event.
Oluwa told the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja while speaking on improving the standard of referees, that the association would continue to evaluate the performance of referees periodically.
He said: “Initially we wanted to commence training on Nov.16, but for some reasons we had to reschedule, we are confident that should our referees make it past medicals, the 2017/2018 will be fine.
Zubairu said that the central medical team of NFF was not satisfied with some alterations on medical reports of some of the referees.

According to him, the NRA has been organising programmes to prepare the referees ahead of the season scheduled to kick-off this month
The Nigeria National League (NNL) will resume next Wednesday following the decision of the Nigeria Referees Association (NRA) to render their services once again for the good of the game.
The referees are insisting on boycotting the matches for all the leagues in the country this weekend
