The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the AIB Commissioner, Akin Olateru, made this known while briefing newsmen at the agency’s headquarters at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.
Olumide Osineye, the bureau’s General Manager, Security and Industries, told newsmen on Sunday in Lagos that the training was aimed at educating police officers on the importance of securing crash sites.
The aviation unions that organised the protest included Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, National Union of Air Transport Employees and the National Union of Pensioners.
While reacting to a newspaper report of Chidoka’s appraisal confirming MMA2 as the only Airport terminal with high rating in the country, Bi-Courtney listed the benefits of privatization and commended the Minister for his objective appraisal, his refusal to mislead the country on the true state of the nation’s Aviation industry and the positive steps he has taken to arrest the decay in the sector
He said: “During the first quarter of 2014, a total of 265,142 passengers arrived through the domestic terminal, while 258,845 passengers departed from it
According to court documents, FAAN filed the application on December 5, 2011, seeking several reliefs against Bi-Courtney “in respect of the use and operation of the Murtala Mohammed Airport Domestic Terminal 2, Ikeja, Lagos, by the defendant (Bi-Courtney) pursuant to a concession agreement executed between the Federal Government and the defendant”
