Pantami was quoted in a statement by Abba Anwar, Chief Press Secretary to the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, to have made the observation after he presented a paper at the Pre-Convocation Lecture organised by Kano State Polytechnic in Kano on Friday.

The Kano State Fire Service on Sunday confirmed a fire outbreak that completely destroyed seven shops inside the School of Technology, Kano State Polytechnic at Matan Fada in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano.

The explosion occurred as students were checking their results in the school.
