Gboyega Oguntuase, the outgoing Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti State, says the constitution of a caretaker committee for the party in the state will not solve its crisis.

The Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti, on Sunday accused the Independent National Electoral Commission of alleged plan to rig the Presidential and National Assembly elections in favour of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The Caucus meeting was called consequent upon the controversies over a meeting held on November 3, 2018, in which the Senate Minority Leader, Biodun Olujimi, was pronounced as leader of the party and a call was made for the dissolution of the State Executive
The decision to sack Fayose and appoint a replacement for him was taken at a stakeholders meeting of the PDP held in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital
The party vowed to investigate the invasion with a view to exposing and sanctioning anyone found to be involved directly or indirectly in the disruption of the smooth running of its activities in Ekiti.
The party said this has become necessary since Fayemi claimed his administration was raking in an average of N600 million monthly as IGR and which totals N7.2 billion yearly, while the figures his administration gave to the National Bureau of Statistics, the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation among others did not tally with the claim.
The State Chairman of the PDP, Chief Gboyega Oguntuase, stated this in reaction to a statement made in Ado Ekiti on Monday by the APC National Chairman that the forthcoming July 14, 2018 Ekiti governorship election was a must win for the party and that every available resources will be deployed to win the election.
