The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), has called on the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the raging religious crisis in the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), in order to save the institution from total collapse.
This is contained in a release issued Wednesday in Abeokuta, signed by the institution’s Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council, Dr Bola Adekola .
The protesters, under the aegis of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), FUNAAB branch, held the protest in line with the directive of the national leadership of the union.
The University Head of Public Relations, Kola Adepoju, confirmed the development to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abeokuta Friday.
