Buhari said this Tuesday while inaugurating the three million metric tonnes per annum urea production plant.

Speaking at an audience with Fertilizer Producers and Suppliers Association of Nigeria (FEPSAN), President Buhari said the new plant will be built in partnership with the Kingdom of Morocco.
Governor Mohammed Abubakar said this in Bauchi on Tuesday, while launching fertiliser distribution to farmers.
He spoke to NAN at the 2017 African Clean Up Conference taking place in Cape Coast, with the theme: “Exploring New Horizon and Sustainable Best Practices in Waste Management and Recycling”
In a Memorandum of Understanding also signed during the visit of King Mohammed VI of Morocco to Nigeria by Thomas Etuh, the President of FEPSAN, and Dr. Mostafa Terrab, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the OCP Group, the two will come together to promote innovation in an effort to contribute towards productivity-led agricultural growth and improve farmer livelihood
Scott Wallace, a fertiliser consultant with AFAP, disclosed this while briefing journalists at the end of a four-day Nigeria Fertiliser Roadmap Stakeholders Consultative meeting in Abuja on Monday
According to him, fertiliser remains a critical input that cannot be ignored if agriculture in Nigeria must attain its critically acclaimed potential as a credible alternative for generating gainful employment in the current recession
An Apapa Magistrates’ Court, which gave the ruling, also ordered the accused to produce two sureties as part of the bail conditions
He explained that the chemical content in the inorganic fertilizer usually affects the productive capacity of the soil, hence reducing its live span
He further said that the issue of associations allegedly submitting names of ‘ghost; farmers was totally unacceptable and that was one of the reasons the data bank needed to be revalidated
