The News Agency of Nigeria is reporting that Nwosu died in Virginia, the United States of America, on Thursday at the age of 83.

The commendation was contained in a letter Nwosu wrote to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, on Monday in Abuja.
Oredein, in a statement on Thursday, commended President Buhari for officially acknowledging that Abiola won the June 12, 1993 presidential election and posthumously conferring him with the Grand Commander of the Federal Republic.
The Upper chamber also urged the Federal Government to pay all allowances and entitlement to late Abiola’s family and Kingibe.
