I want to thank President Buhari for sharing this special day with me. The pressure of affairs facing the leader of a nation is such that you could have easily found reasons why you could not participate. Instead you chose to be here and to even give me the compound honor of accepting to be the Chairman of this occasion. Mr. President, you have gone far these past few years in laying a good foundation for the economic recovery of the country. We shall go farther still so that Nigeria truly reaches the next level with you leading the way.

All Progressives Congress National Leader and Co-Chair of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has said though the postponement of Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections was painful, all those who actually came out to vote and those who intended to vote in the postponed elections must maintain their commitment.

A video where Tinubu, at the APC Presidential Campaign rally in Abeokuta, Ogun State on Monday was seen throwing the party’s flag to National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, to give to the party’s governorship candidate in the state, Prince Dapo Abiodun, had been interpreted as his way of showing he was done with the party.

Tinubu, addressing the mammoth crowd of supporters at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, venue of the party’s Presidential campaign, said that the opposition in 16 years failed to put Nigeria on a pedestal of growth despite enormous resources.
