Swansea City are unlikely to continue their pursuit of Super Eagles
forward, Peter Osaze Odemwingie, after refusing to meet West Bromwich
Albion’s £4 million asking price for the striker.
Michael Laudrup wants to add another forward to his squad before the
close of the transfer window to help ease the goalscoring burden on
Michu and new signing, Wifried Bony.
Odemwingie, 32, is up for sale following his disciplinary problems at
the Hawthorns last season, but Wales on Sunday understands that the
Swans are only willing to pay £2.5 million for the Nigerian.
Premier League clubs, Cardiff City and Stoke City, are also apparently
considering bids for Odemwingie.
