Super Falcons star, Francisca Ordega, has completed a move to Chinese Super League side, Shanghai Shenhua, after four years at United States’ National Women’s Soccer League campaigners, Washington Spirit.
The 24-year-old Nigeria international becomes the latest African to take her trade to the Chinese Women’s league after South Africa’s pair of Thembi Kgatlana and Linda Motlhalo also sealed moves to the Asian country.
Ordega made 63 appearances in a four-year spell with the United States’ National Women’s Soccer League side Washington before she disclosed her new adventure and the deal in her Instagram handle.
Ordega, who was the runner up in 2019 Africa Women’s Footballer of the Year award, played a vital role for Super Falcons to clinch their ninth Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
She is expected to be part of Thomas Dennerby’s team to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which will be held later this year.
