Lagos State-based lawyer and human rights activist, Femi Falana, SAN, has stormed the Glass House headquarters of the Nigeria Football Federation in Abuja as part of the team to discuss the controversy surrounding the transfer of Super Eagles Africa Cup of Nations hero, Sunday Mba.
Mba, who scored two vital goals for Nigeria in the semi-final and final matches of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, which Nigeria won, has been having it tough concerning his attempt to leave Warri Wolves FC for Rangers International FC of Enugu.
The NFF declared Warri Wolves the bonafide owner of Mba but last week the player made a public appearance for Rangers by picking the club’s jersey for the season.
Falana, as at press time, was in the meeting with the NFF officials, led by the Director of Competitions, Mohammed Sanusi.
The meeting, which also has representatives of Warri Wolves and Rangers in attendance, started around 5pm.
Sources said the meeting may last into the night.
