Shooting Stars FC Manager; Mutiu Adepoju, says he is optimistic the club will excel against Akwa United on Sunday in Calabar.
The former Nigerian international said the team will work hard to ensure they picked the maximum points at stake in the match.
Adepoju said all the mistakes noticed in the last game at home to Warri Wolves have been worked on ahead of the trip to Akwa United.
Adepoju said: “Well, the team is prepared.
“We have seen the mistakes that have been made and the technical crew has been trying to rectify them and the players are ready too.
“The team is leaving on Friday and we hope to come back with a positive result.”
He said the game against Akwa United will be difficult but they have all resolved to give it the best shot.
On the new Board of the Shooting Stars, Adepoju said he is looking forward to a cordial relationship with the new men and women at the helm of affairs.
He saod: “Everything has been very cordial and at today’s meeting we tried to give them the situation report.
“We are all looking forward to how we can improve and get better.”
On how the club received the news of the appointment of the Board, Adepoju said it was with high level of excitement.
He said: “The club has received them with excitement. I am happy and from all indications, things are going to get better because the board has good plans for the club and we just pray that things will continue to get better in Shooting Stars.”
