No fewer than seven people are feared dead in an early morning shooting in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The seven persons, it was learnt, were shot dead in an uncompleted building near the Apo Legislative Quarters, Abuja.
Some men dressed in military camouflage were said to have stormed an uncompleted building in the early hours of Friday to chase away those that were said to be living there illegally.
In the process, they were said to have shot seven persons dead.
It was gathered that about 100 people were occupying the building illegally and were said to be paying N200 per week to the security guard, who allowed them to stay there.
It was also learnt that the owner of the building had informed the illegal occupants to vacate the building but they would not leave.
Meanwhile, the FCT Police Command has deployed personnel to the scene and promised to give update after preliminary investigations.
