Senate sets up Conference Committee on PIB + Members

The Senate on Tuesday set up Conference Committee on Petroleum Industrial Bill.

The lawmakers are expected to meet with their House of Representatives colleagues on an harmonised version of the bill.

Announcing the members of the Conference Committee, Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan, said the lawmakers are expected to swing into action and produce the harmonised version of the bill.

The Conference Committee is chaired by the Senate Leader, Yahahya Abdullahi.

Members are Senator Sabo Mohammed Nakudu (North West), Senator Opeyemi Bamidele (South West), Senator Stella Oduah (South East), Senator Bassey Akpan (South South), Senator Gabriel Suswan (North Central) and Senator Danjuma Goje (North East).
